Senior Championship:  on Sunday, our senior team made the short distance to Cusack Park to take on the reigning champions, Mullingar Shamrocks.  This was alwaysgoing to be a daunting task but we reached the venue with our hopes high.  The game turned out to be a lack lustre, lo wscoring game,  taking 12 minutes for the first score to be recorded.  When David Newman sent the ball over for our first point, the game seem to lift a bit for the spectators.  Further points came our way to leave Read more...

Training:  Training sessions are being well attended at present and it is hoped that this will continue and improved on with less than seven weeks left before the championship. This week sees the end of the very successful Tuesday night training in Mullingar Boxing Club.

Feis Cup Final:  On Sunday next we have to make the  journey to Páirc Ciarán, Athlone to play the home team in the Feis Cup final.  This game is fixed for 11.30 am and it is hoped to have a good attendance of players.  What happened to finals on neutral venues?

Training:  Football training for all adult teams commences on this Friday at 8pm. A full attendance is hoped for in preparation
for Sunday’s game.  There will be a players’ meeting after training to discuss the year ahead.

St Stephen’s Day:  The annual charity game will once again be held on St Stephens’s day.  This will be a good way to work off the “goodies” of Christmas day and support a local cause as well.  Time and charity to be confirmed later!

Feis Cup:  The Feis Cup game due to have been held on Sunday morning, in Bun, did not take place, as Castledaly conceded the game

Division 1 V Tyrrellspass:
Bunbrosna were host to Tyrrellspass in Division 1 last week.  With a number of regulars away for this game, the team on duty played well but in the end had to give way to Tyrrellspass!  Apologies, as team list is not to hand at present.
