Reminder of our fund-raising Table Quiz in Tormey’s on Friday29th April. We are looking forward to a large attendance at this, the first of our fund-raising events.

There was no jackpot winner in our fortnightly lotto with Margaret Gaffney and jimmy Newman matching 3 numbers and Tommy Tormey getting the sellers’ prize.
The numbers drawn were: 5-8-22-24. Next draw on Wed 27th April and the jackpot will be €3,700!!

The under 10s played a ‘Friendly’ with Killoe on Thursday. While they were defeated in this game, they all played well for their first outing – Feichin Brennan, Evan Hales, Chloe Darby, Jenny Kelly, Karen Kelly, Jessica Keane, Trevor Keane, Sam McGrath, Darragh Coffey, Ciara Molloy, Maeve Molloy, Mark Darby, Áine Foy, Brian Flanagan, Eoin McGowan, Brian McGowan, Fiachra Browne.

On Saturday evening, we travelled to Athlone to take on the home side in Division 1. With conditions ideal for football, the game started at a fast pace. Bunbrosna were first to score when Peter Tormey kicked over a fine point from play. Athlone equalised a short time later with a point from a free. The ladies’ football club are holding a table quiz in the “Fiddlers’ Green” on Friday 15th. Your support will be appreciated.

The fortnightly lotto continues on Wednesday night in Geerah’s when the jackpot will be €3,150.
Comórtas na mBunscoil: Best wishes to the Rathowen N.S. team on this Wednesday when they contest the semi-final. This game is at 6pm in Bunbrosna and we would like to see a large number of parents and club members there to support the team.

Division 1: Next Sunday morning we travel to Páirc Ciarán to plat Athlone in the league. This game is timed for 11.30 and all players are asked to be there in good time. Training continues at the usual times and a good attendance is requested. Under-Age: The newly formed St. Fintan’s/Bunbrosna team played Milltownpass on Wednesday last in the Under 12 league and gave a very satisfactory performance in their first outing.
