Bunbrosna GAA Notes

Division 4:  On Tuesday of last week our Div. 4 team travelled to Killucan to play the home side and with referee not turning up the game was an hour late starting.  (4th time this year…not good enough)  Jimmy Weldon was contacted and arrived to take charge.  Thanks Jimmy!  This was a keenly contested game all through with some good passages of football and both sides taking some good scores.  During the second half, John McCormack received a foot injury and had to be replaced.  Johnny is wished a speedy recovery from this injury.   The game ended all square on the score Bunbrosna: 2-9;   Killucan: 1-12
Team:  Damien McCormack, Damien Hand, Cormac McCormack, Sean Walsh, Simon Maher, Conor Geerah, Brian Maguire, Fintan Finnan, Padraig Maher, Ken Conroy, Kevin Mitchell, Colm McCormack, Noel Yourell, John McCormack and Joe Tormey.

Division 7:  Our Div. 7 team are at-home to Mullingar Shamrocks on Monday evening next .

Championship:  Bun kicks off the Championship on Saturday 24th may when they play Garrycastle in St Loman’s  Lakepoint Park.  We will need to be in top gear for this game and it is essential that training sessions have a full attendance this week.

Meeting:  A meeting of the club executive will be held on this Thursday at 9pm.  All members are requested to attend.

Congratulations to Frank and Valerie Molloy on their recent marriage.  They are wished good health and happiness in the future.

Well Done to Westmeath on their victory over Longford at Pearse Park on Sunday.
